Snow Day First, Birthday Greetings Second

Coffee First

I got my wish! A Snow Day on a Tuesday! Just a priceless gift to not have to attend the class from hell.

Anyway, on our Snow Day, one of my co-workers had a birthday. That's quite a birthday gift in itself, don't you think? I had this card ready for her for Tuesday, but given the situation, she didn't mind receiving it today when we all made our way back to school, slipping and sliding on the ice.

Story behind the card...She absolutely needs coffee first thing in the mornings (as I do my Coke Zero). So I made her this card, with the inside saying...Birthday Greetings second. That's the order she would want them in....coffee first, birthday greetings second.

Anyway the main image is a House Mouse stamp I picked up in Cincinnati. Stamped with Stazon on Bristol vellum and colored with Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment was stamped with Karen Foster Snap Stamps, and the brown patterned paper in the background was stamped randomly with a coffee bean image from Stamps by Judith.

Snow Day First, Birthday Greeting Second.
